WikiCube

Objective:

The game consists of one moderator and two or more players. Players are given two or more Sentence Cubes. The goal is to get rid of sentence cubes by matching your words to words in a scrolling Wikipedia entry.

Materials:

• 10+ Sentence Cubes (one word on each die face, 6 words per die)
• A browser which can load http://wikiroulette.co/

Directions:

1. Players take a seat around the moderator such that they can see the WikiRoulette browser which the moderator is controlling.
2. Each player is given 2 (or more) Sentence Cubes. More cubes = more difficult.
3. Each player is given 20 seconds to read their Sentence Cubes before the game begins.
4. The moderator opens an article on WikiRoulette and scrolls at a speed determined by the players. When the moderator reachs the end of the article, or when the players determine that they're finished with the article, the moderator moves on to the next random article.
5. When a player sees a word in the article which exactly matches a word on their Sentence Cube (i.e. 'girls' would not match 'girl' and vice-versa), the player shouts 'Stop!' and presents their word. If the word matches, the player discards that cube.
6. The goal of the game is to be the first player to discard all of their cubes.
7. If a player shouts 'Stop!' and their word does not match where they intended to in the article, they pick up another cube as a penalty.
